In 2023, I began a new series of work with a performance / installation featuring two long-time, 15 year-old friends. Continuing a tradition since they were aged six, they transformed toys and everyday materials into the stuff of their own play-acting. The girls created a loose fable, wearing costumes I’d made.

I draw and weave the figures, movement, tension and color from those performative photographic images into 2-D and 3-D forms that recall and reinterpret fabric and dress as well as the influence of our digital age on visual world processing.
